Today we are proud to announce that we have developed our first full-featured WordPress theme that we are offering free to the public for download. Our theme “Spoke” is designed with zero images and a simple, type-based layout that puts the focus on the content of the blog, not some over-designed, swirly, shiny, trend-a-licious header.

Spoke’s color scheme is completely editable, by you, from the WordPress admin panel. The theme uses a three color set: a main color, a secondary color, and a highlight color. Set the colors to match your personality, show your uniqueness, or your school/team/organization pride. If you are feeling especially uninspired, Spoke allows you to choose from a changing set of color schemes from kuler.adobe.com.

Tested compatible browsers:

• All versions of Mozilla Firefox
• All versions of Safari
• Internet Explorer 7
• Internet Explorer 6 (some things are a bit different but everything is still functional)

While I might sound slighty partisan in saying that Firefox 3 is one of the best browsers available on every operating system, I do feel that if you haven’t tried Firefox yet, now is the time to do so. The release of Firefox 3 marks a huge improvment over the aging Firefox 2 in both back and front end of the browser.

Either way, it would be awfully nice of you to go try Firefox 3 out today and help Mozilla reach a world record of downloads in the first 24 hours of release.
